Important buying advice for customers
with VERY VERY EXPENSIVE speakers from GBP £1,000
on £100,000.
|
I have been designing loudspeakers for 30 years, and to be blunt,
many of the 'features' of VERY VERY EXPENSIVE speakers are utter nonsense. |
Some of our competitors 'features' are a simple capacitor for a six
decibels per octave cross over for the tweeter,
which will allow some of the mid range to get into the tweeter, overloaded
tweeter,
and MAKE THE TWEETER SOUND VERY HARSH, WHEN YOU TURN UP THE VOLUME.
(and the Ferro fluid gets hot, becomes less viscous, and the damping
effect reduces, and the impedance peak at resonance reappears)
NO AMPLIFIER IN THE WORLD CAN CURE THIS PROBLEM.
IT IS A DESIGN FAULT OF THE LOUDSPEAKER. |
Likewise, the designer who uses a six decibels per octave cross over
for the tweeter,
will probably use a six decibels per octave cross over for the mid
range,
which allows the bass to get into the mid range, overloaded the mid
range,
and MAKE HUMAN VOICES SOUND BLUR / MUDDLED / CONGESTED (like somebody
who has a blocked up nose)
The loudspeaker might sound fine with quiet polite music,
but it will sound mediocre with LOUD POP MUSIC.
NO AMPLIFIER IN THE WORLD CAN CURE THIS PROBLEM.
IT IS A DESIGN FAULT OF THE LOUDSPEAKER. |
Another of our competitors odd 'features' like mid ranges that do NOT
have a cones surround,
So the mid range can only make a sound by BENDING OUT OF SHAPE.
Some hi-fi reviewers, with poor technical knowledge, think that this
must be a good idea
because the speakers cost GBP £2000 to GBP £13,000.
Audio engineers call this cone breakup ! |
Another of our competitors odd 'feature' is the shove the speaker into
a shortish transmission line (less than 14 feet long)
and do NOT put in enough sound absorbent, so you get a lot of boomy
upper bass,
which impresses some hi-fi reviewers, because the speakers cost GBP
£1000 to GBP £10,000. |
Many customers do not realise that MOST of the VERY FAMOUS British
loudspeaker brands
owned by Hong Kong people, and many of this VERY FAMOUS British loudspeakers
are made in China.
Just because you buy VERY FAMOUS British loudspeakers at British prices
of GBP £1000 to GBP £10,000
it does not mean that these Chinese loudspeakers are perfect British
loudspeakers. |
If you own VERY EXPENSIVE modern speakers from GBP £1000 to £100,000
please forget about the silly absurd prices, and take out a one-month
home trial on our eBay listing of our WELL-DESIGNED (which need not be
expensive) ULTRA HIGH END GBP £650 speakers that has been HEAVILY
MODIFIED IN ENGLAND BY US. |
Yes, I know that it sound stupid that
I am suggesting that you audition our
WELL-DESIGNED, HEAVILY MODIFIED IN ENGLAND, ULTRA HIGH END GBP £650
speakers
against GBP £6000 British (or Chinese) loudspeakers,
but
READING MANY WEBSITES OF VERY VERY EXPENSIVE LOUDSPEAKERS
SHOWS AN APPALLING LACK OF TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE,
AND EVEN THE BASIC TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE IS APPALLINGLY WRONG. |
Ideally, it would be grand, if you could buy both our GBP £1400
amplifier + WELL-DESIGNED ULTRAHIGH END GBP £650 speakers (Or
even our GBP £2900 speakers) |
If you have GBP £1000 to GBP £10,000 speakers and a budget
of GBP £1400,
you will be better of spending GBP £650 on our buying one of
WELL-DESIGNED ULTRA HIGH END speakers
+ GBP £650 to GBP £1000 on one of our cheaper amplifiers.
Yes, I know it sound stupid, but I repeat that
READING MANY WEBSITES OF VERY VERY EXPENSIVE LOUDSPEAKERS
SHOWS AN APPALLING LACK OF TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE,
AND EVEN THE BASIC TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE IS APPALLINGLY WRONG. |
