We are probably the first company in England to sell a valve amplifier
at affordable prices,
with a good 40 watts + 40 watts output (for our cheaper EL34 range)
that will drive "real world" speakers ( no need for horn speakers !
)
and "stable" enough to drive our Quad ESL 57 electrostatic speakers
and "stable" enough to drive very difficult speakers like our
High End" Yamaha NS-1000M studio monitors
with 12 inch woofers + 3.5 inch Beryllium metal dome midrange + 1 inch
Beryllium metal dome tweeters.
If you want Beryllium tweeters, look at the £46,000 J M Lab speakers
, or the "VERY High End" JBL speakers. "VERY High End" JBL speakers
means that if you have to ask the price, you cannot afford it !
(The second hand price for Yamaha NS-1000M is £800, and they
are snapped up immediately !)
(On the other hand, there are a lot of Quad ESL57 on the second hand
market for about £300 !)
We use many different speakers to develop our amplifiers.
Like the Yamaha NS-1000M which have one of the worst reputation of being extremely difficult to drive.
Like the Quad ESL-57 electrostatic speakers, which will make
MANY amplifiers (valves or transistor) "unstable"
and cause "ringing" on the 10 kiloHertz square wave !
This sound unbelievable, but it is true !
Connecting a 2 uF capacitor (to simulate electrostatic speakers)
to the 8 ohm load actually REDUCES the NEGLIGIBLE ringing on
10 kilohertz square wave
of our £700 model !
This is NOT an accident ! We know that "difficult" speakers like
Quad ESL-57 , ESL 63 and many electrostatic speakers cause problems for
amplifiers,
so we have designed our affordable valve amplifier to cope with "difficult"
speakers !
"System matching" could mean that
the amplifier cannot cope with "difficult" speakers , "difficult" crossover
and "difficult" speaker cables !
Just plug in any speaker, with any crossover, with any "heavy duty"
cable
(not skimpy minuscule "lightweight" silver cables , that cannot cope
with a few amperes of current),
and our affordable valve amplifier will work just fine,
or you get your money back (less £30, within 30 days)

The Affordable Valve Company
Money back guarantee (less £30,
within 30 days) that
our £700 40 watt + 40 watts
"ultra linear" valve amplifier will sound very similar (maybe even slightly
better) to "Ultra linear" valve amplifiers that cost £2,000 , £3,000
, £4,000 ..... £10,000
You might ask how can that be possible ?
The valves get hot, so we fix a "CE
safety cage",
so that the user cannot touch the
hot valve !
(Our "CE safety cage" is held on
by 4 bolts,)
(so your young child cannot remove
the "CE safety cage")
You could buy £2,900 "ultra
linear" valve amplifier,
and they will NOT give you a "safety
cage".
You have to pay ANOTHER £280
for a "safety cage" !
Our safety cage is made in China,
and it cost us £7 !
If we can give you a FREE "CE safety
cage",
that cost us £7 to make,
and our competitors "safety cage"
sells for £280 .........................
that should make your mind think
that
something is not quite right !
Can our competitor £280 safety
cage
sound better than our £7 safety
cage ?
If your answer is "maybe yes, maybe no"
Then, maybe our £700 "ultra
linear" valve amplifier
can sound as good (or maybe slightly
better)
as £3,000 "ultra linear" valve
amplifiers.
Affordable Valve Company - EL34 "ultra linear" valve amplifier £700 Just compare the size of the transformers
on our £700 "Ultra Linear" valve amplifiers
The transformers
are the most expensive part of the valve amplifier,
If we could
achieve the same improvement to the sound
|
Affordable Valve Company - When compared with our £700 model, our cheaper £500 "starter" amplifier has a slightly smaller mains transformer (the black lump of metal in the middle, at the back of the amplifier) but it is still as big as the transformers in some £3,000 "ultra linear" valve amplifiers sold by our competitors ! Please could somebody explain why
can we sell something for £500,
Is there a huge difference in sound
?
Most Hi Fi reviewers are no better
than you !

Affordable Valve Company - KT88 "High
End" valve amplifier £1450
Just compare the size of the transformers
on our £1,450 "High End" amplifiers
The transformers
are the most expensive part of the valve amplifier,
If we could
achieve the same improvement to the sound
Please bear in mind that
Why do £3,000
"ultra linear" valve amplifiers use the CHEAPER 6550 valve,
KT88 valves
can cope with much higher voltages,
Why don't
you ask sellers of 6550 amplifiers
We use EL34 valves in our cheaper models. Even the
EL34 valves can cope with higher "screen grid" voltages

Solid State Amplifiers
Transistor amplifiers are popular
because they can be made and sold at affordable prices.
However, regardless of what is written
in Hi Fi Magazines
about affordable transistor amplifiers
or £3,000 transistor amplifier
that have have "sweet treble like
a valve amplifier",
I have NEVER heard a "Class B" transistor
amplifier
sound anywhere close to a well
designed valve amplifier !
As for the absurd claims that
"Class A" transistor amplifier sound
like a valve amplifier !
That is simply is NOT TRUE.
We challenge you to compare
any "Class A" transistor amplifier
with our valve amplifier
using good quality "3 way" speakers
(our prices from £300.88 to £2,500)
and we will refund your money (less
£30, within 1 month)
if you cannot hear the difference
!
90% of our customers keep our amplifiers !
